What Is Spravato®
What is SPRAVATO® (esketamine) nasal spray?
REMS-certified, in-clinic treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression (and certain urgent MDD cases).
SPRAVATO® is a prescription medicine used:

- with or without an antidepressant taken by mouth, to treat adults with treatment-resistant depression (TRD)
- with an antidepressant taken by mouth, to treat depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) with suicidal thoughts or actions
SPRAVATO® is not for use as a medicine to prevent or relieve pain (anesthetic).It is not known if SPRAVATO® is safe or effective as an anesthetic medicine.
It is not known if SPRAVATO® is safe and effective for use in preventing suicide or in reducing suicidal thoughts or actions. SPRAVATO® is not for use in place of hospitalization if your healthcare provider determines that hospitalization is needed, even if improvement is experienced after the first dose of SPRAVATO®.

You May Be A Candidate if:

- Are an adult with major depressive disorder and have not improved after trying two or more antidepressants at adequate dose/duration.
- Can remain on site ~2 hours of monitoring after each in-clinic dose.
- Will continue a daily oral antidepressant as prescribed.
- Have BCBS PPO or Medicare coverage.

Note: Spravato® is not appropriate for everyone (e.g., certain vascular conditions, uncontrolled hypertension, pregnancy). Our team will review your history and coordinate with your prescriber.
How the Treatment Works
(3 Step Process)

- Benefits Check & Medical Review — We verify coverage (BCBS PPO/Medicare only) and confirm medical eligibility.
- In-clinic Dosing & Monitoring — You self-administer nasal Spravato under supervision, then rest while we monitor you for ~2 hours.
- Follow-Up & Coordination — We update your referring clinician and adjust the plan as needed.

Safety & REMS
Spravato® is available only through a REMS program and must be administered in a clinic with observation. Common side effects can include transient dissociation, dizziness, nausea, and blood-pressure changes. A ride home is required after each session. We review risks, consent, and what to expect before you start.
